This Holiday Season: Make a GIF, Plant a Tree

The holiday season is full of tree-related activities, such as picking and decorating your own holiday tree and attending annual tree lighting ceremonies. But it’s also a chance to give back to the environment. All you have to do is create and share cute tree GIFs with your friends and family!

Green is Universal and the Arbor Day Foundation have teamed up for the #GIFtATree campaign, which encourages participants to build and share animated tree GIFs (or simply use the #GIFtATree hashtag) on social media. For each of these actions, Green is Universal and the Arbor Day Foundation will plant a real tree (up to 25,000) in a state park or national forest.
